Molybdenum disulfide

Main characteristics:

  • Low coefficient of friction (static)
  • Good thermal conductivity
  • Wear resistance
  • It has low effect in its electric characteristics
  • It is almost not reactive to chemicals
  • Good elasticity

Main applications:

In dynamic seals where auto-lubrication is important; it is generally combined with glass fiber or bronze (bearing pads, seal rings, piston rings)
