 Main characteristics:
- Excellent resistance to wear and compression
- Good thermal conductivity
- Good coefficient of friction when combined with molybdenum disulfide or with graphite
- Not good for electrical applications
- Attacked by some chemicals
Main applications:
- Dynamic seals where wear resistance is required under high compression, but when chemical resistance is not important (compression rings, bearing pads and hydraulic systems).
